One month old!!!

Its hard to believe he is one month old already!!! It sure has been a busy month so it has definitely flown by. Logan has already been a world traveler, in one short month he's been to Minnesota, to Lincoln for a wedding and to North Platte for memorial day weekend. For the most part he's been a very good traveler, we had one bad experience on the first trip to North Platte, but other then that things have gone smoothly. Thankfully we are going to be staying home for a while as I am sick of packing for us all every week!!! I can't believe how much he is growing. I would guess he is already somewhere in the 11 pound range, which means he is pretty much gaining a pound a week!!! He is definitely an eater. Just this past few days he has finally gone 4 hours at night sleeping, so that has been great!!! You wouldn't think that it would seem like a big difference from 3-4 hours, but it definitely does. Last night he even went 6 hours, granted this was from 7:30-1:30 so it wasn't that helpful in us getting more sleep, but maybe this means soon he'll be sleeping even longer!! Austin is still growing like a weed. It's so much fun to watch him grow up and get his own little personality, it's quite comical some of the things they come up with:):) Oh yeah, and once again I got mastitis, yuck!! This was my first time with Logan, but my third time overall since I had it twice with Austin. Thankfully I was in North Platte and my mom and Matt's mom helped out a ton with the kids. Matt was out of town for baseball and I don't know what I would have done if I had been home alone with the kids when I got sick. I have a bunch of photos to upload, so I will put another post up later with lots of new photos of the kiddos!!!

2 week check up..

We had Logan's 2 week check-up this week and lets just say we definately have a little porker!!! He was born at 7lbs 8.8 oz and was down to 7 lbs 3 oz when we left the hospital and at his 2 week check-up he was 8 lbs 14 oz already!!! I can't believe how much weight he has already gained, I guess he is trying to catch up to where his brother was at that age and is definately on pace to do that quickly!!! He was pretty much in the 50% percentile for all things, height, weight and head circumference. I have a feeling by his 2 month appointment he may be way ahead of this though!!! I can't believe it has been two weeks already, it has flown by!! We have definitely kept ourselves busy though between baseball games and traveling out of town. We took Logan on his first trip to Mankato, MN at 11 days old to a wedding of some friends of ours. It was great to get to see everyone up there and for them to all get to see Logan. We were lucky enough to have some brave friends that let us stay in their house with a newborn baby and all the late night noise that brings, (Thanks Jay and Ang!!!) Here are some pics from around 2 weeks old:

Welcome Logan Daniel....

Ok, so I know this is a few weeks late, but better late then never right!!! I have been saying I wasn't going to do the blog for Logan because I don't have enough time, but after some complaining about how unfair this would be for Logan (thanks mom!!!) I decided I can try and do one post a week. I did Austin's whole first year in the blog and then made it into a book, so I am going to attempt to do this for Logan as well, so here goes:

Logan entered this big crazy world on Monday May 3rd. I was induced again this time, not really for any medical reason (with Austin they were worried about how large he was getting), but more for convenience. It was nice with work and Austin's daycare situation to know when exactly this event was going to take place. It happened to be just an added bonus that both boys were born on the 3rd so it will be easy to remember:):) I was induced at around 8 am and he decided to arrive about 5:45 after I spent 32 minutes (yes it was 32 minutes exactly, we were defaintely keeping track) holding him in until my doctor could get there in rush hour traffic. This was not an easy or fun experience, but it did make the pushing part easy. On his birth sheet my official push time went down as "less then one minute", and he came right out with only 2 pushes. It was quite a surprise it was a boy, as Matt pretty much had us all convinced it was a girl. Guess we'll just have to keep trying for our girl:):) Logan was 20.5 inches long and weighed 7lbs 8.8oz. Everything went smoothly and we have a healthy little boy. Here are some pics from his first few days.
