4 month Dr appt....

We had Austin's 4 month well baby check-up this morning and everything looks good. She said we could start giving him solids, good thing since we started last night:):) She said his progress looked good; he gets his whole chest off the ground during tummy time, he sits supported, he stands pretty good, and he's talking (or rather screaming) a lot. We definately have a big boy. He was 17lbs 12.5 oz, and 26.5 inches long, both were in the 94th percentile!! This explains why he is in 9-12 month clothes already!!! Everything looked really good and we have one healthy cute little boy:):)

Austin celebrated a few firsts this week. He had his first sleepover (and night away from both mom and dad) when he went and spent the night with Aunt Michelle, Uncle Jeremy and his cousins Brandon and Kaylee. After a lot of convincing from Aunt Michelle to bring him, I drove him the half hour down the road to stay the night. Even though we were only away from him for 16 hours, it felt like a really long time, and we were super anxious to get him back home!! He also had his first solid food this week!! He has been such a good sleeper, usually 8:30pm-7:30am, but this week he's been waking up around 5:30-6:00ish just starving so Thursday night I decided to give him some cereal. We started with single grain Oatmeal since he has had such constipation issues (I guess rice cereal tends to be constipating). As usual it took both of us to accomplish a task normally one person can handle. We both had spoons and were feeding him one after another, since he wasn't dealing too well with having to wait between bites for us to reload one spoon. I was like we cant have another kid, who will be able to pay attention to the other child if it takes both of us to take care of this one:):) Hopefully we learn how to accmploish things with just one parent:):) He did pretty good eating it, he was a mess, but he enjoyed it for the most part and he slept till 7:30 this morning!!!

Six Christmases.....

We celebrated 6 Christmases this year (and we even missed one due to scheduling conflicts)!!! We had Christmas here with just us 3 before we left, then Christmas Eve with my dad's side, Christmas morning with my family, Christmas day with Matt's dad side, Friday morning with Matt's family and Saturday with Matt's mom's side!! Wow, I get exhausted just talking about them all:):) It was definately a busy holiday season for us. Even though it was busy, it was a great holiday season for us. We got to spend 5 days in North Platte with family and friends. Austin got lots of presents (of course) and he got to hang out and play with all of his cousins. I think Austin was ready to come home though. We spent all day Sunday just bummin' around our house. Austin definately made Christmas even more special and exciting then normal, and I already cant wait until next year when he can walk around and open presents on his own!!! Sorry for the numerous pictures below, but we had so many Christmas pictures. Hope you all had as great of a Christmas as us. Happy New Year!!
