Professional photos

We went this morning and had Austin's first professional pictures taken. Lets just say, it was a DISASTER!!! He had a terrible last 24 hours from his reaction to his shots (see previous post) and not getting any sleep and having a fever, so 9 am pictures were not ideal. He was also very scared of the guy taking his pictures, every time he talked to Austin he would start screaming and crying. It was so weird, he has never reacted to anybody like that before. Needless to say after about an hour of trying (with a short break in the middle to try to calm Austin down) we gave up and decided to just work with what we had. Normally they take about 60 shots to pick from, but we had only goten 17, so there wasn't a whole lot to choose from and a lot of them had either him crying or one of us in the picture trying to calm him down and get out of the way fast (but apparently not fast enough). But, we did pick out 4 pictures that were pretty good (not great becauase I think you can tell he looks like he doesnt feel good) but atleast we didnt have to go home empty handed. So, here are all the snap shots they got, we got a cd of them so I just uploaded them so you could see the struggle it was:):)

Not loving it at this point....

We got this one

6 months old...

Its hard to believe our little guy is 6 months old already. Time sure has flown by, and we've enjoyed each and every minute of it!!! He is such a blessing to have in our lives and always brings a smile to our face, no matter how bad of a day we've had at work. We had his six month check-up on Friday, which of course meant more shots:(:( Nina (my mom) was here to go with us, and lets just say I'm not sure who cried harder after his shots, Austin or Nina:):) Normally the shots don't even phase him, but he has had a rough 24 hours since his shots. He has been continuously running a temperature around 100 and is definately not his normal happy self. But, we have been given him lots of water, tylenol, rest and TLC so hopefully he will start feeling better by tomorrow. He was 21lbs 6.5 oz (96th percentile), 28" (92nd percentile), and his head was in the 90th percentile this time (quite a jump from the 72nd percentile at 4 months, guess his brains are really growing:):) He is rolling once in a while, allthough not very often. He loves to jump in his jumper, he goes crazy in that thing now. And he is growing so fast I have already had to raise it up to level 2!!! He isnt crawling yet, but he was a little behind in rolling, so he probably will be a little slow with this too. He is sitting pretty good on his own, we still have some crashes, but he supports himself pretty good for the most part. He is definately starting to get his own little personality. He talks up a storm and is super excited to see mom and dad when we come home from work. Other then that, not much else, just one happy, growing little boy!!!
