Technologically challenged...

So I posted a few days with a link on here where I thought you could enter your email address and it would send you an email when we update the blog, but apparently I am not doing something right because I tested it out with our email address and the post yesterday and nothing happened. So, I will continue to try and figure out how to make this work, but for now I don't think you will get email updates through that link. Stupid technology these days:):)

Updates of our little man...

Hello, I cant believe he is almost 5 months old!!! Just a few pics and a little update on some new things with Austin.
1. He can sit now, for quite a while at a time. While he still eventually falls over, he enjoys finally being able to sit and play with some of his toys.
2. He is eating cereal, veggies, and fruit now. Currently we are only eating twice a day, but will soon move up to 3 meals a day. It's been kind of confusing trying to figure out how much baby food to feed him, how much formula to give him, and when he should have each of them. I sure wish there was a manual on feeding schedules. But, he is definately a growing boy (weighed in at 18 lbs 12 oz on our scale yesterday) so I guess he is getting enough!! We have yet to find a food he doesn't like, hence the growth:):)
3. He had his first day at day care this week. Matt finally got approved to sub, and he has subbed 3 days this week (finally a paycheck, woohoo)!!! Nikki (our sitter) says we are very lucky and have one easy baby to look after. He is always super happy when we pick him up, and seems to be having tons of fun playing with the kids there, and I'm sure vice versa. Nikki says he is the "new toy" at day care this week and all the kids love playing with him.
4. He is really starting to develop his own personality and is smiling and giggling a ton, which I love. As I'm sure most of you would agree, a child's laugh is the best sound ever.
5. He is still growing. Put one of his 9 month sleepers he got for christmas on him this morning and his poor feet were jammed in the end, so I guess we'll be making a trip downtowm this weekend to invest in some more 12 month clothes.
6. Still no rolling. I am starting to think he may never roll. I have nightmares that he will be in high school, running down the basketall court, trip and land on his back and not be able to get up because he can't roll over.
7. Started blowing spit bubbles today. Must be a cool new trick he picked up at daycare. For now its cute, not so sure I'll think so in a week or two:):)
8. Finally found his feet. They haven't made it to his mouth yet, but tonight he grabbed ahold of them and played with them for quite a while.
9. He's still the greatest thing that's ever happened to us. Every day we rush home from work to play with our little guy. We can't wait to see him, and no matter what kind of day you have had so far, he always makes it a whole lot better!!! I have no clue what we did before we had him, man we must have been bored. But, I already can't wait to have another one. No, I am not pregnant:) Dont get me wrong I would love to be, but probably better wait until we both get jobs first:):)
Well, thats enough for now, enjoy the pics below!!!

I found an interesting new piece of technology today while I was busy at work:):) You can enter your email address above and you will receive emails when we update the blog. I figured this will be helpful because I know you all are very busy and will save you from having to check and see if we have updated lately. You enter your email address you want it delivered to. It takes you to a site where you sign up for a free account by entering a password and thats it. You will receive emails when updates are made to out site. Hopefully it works, sometimes I'm computer illiterate:):) Have a good weekend, I will post new pictures soon of Austin, he's getting big!!!

In your thoughts and prayers...

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. This past Tuesday Matt called me at work to tell me that his grandma had been put in the hospital and she was not doing very well. So, we took off for good old North Platte and have been there for the past 5 days. His grandma has been diagnosed with Pancreatic and Liver cancer, along with having multiple pulmonary embolisms in the past few days. She is facing a tough battle ahead of her, but if anyone is capable of handling it, its her. She is a very strong, brave, and courageous woman. She has always been very religious, and I pray now that God helps her get through this incredibly difficult time. I know we will be doing our fair share of praying for her, and if you could keep her in your prayers as well we would really appreciate it!!!
